Make Up Review I Put The Rimmel London BB Cream To The Test

Lets talk about impulsive purchase of makeup and skincare items.  How many of you have been through the same situation?  You enter  Watsons and suddenly you have the pressure of purchasing something because you just don't feel right to leave the store empty handed. That's me the whole time. In this case my impulsive purchase is a Rimmel London BB Cream. 

Original purpose for the visit was to see what new products they have on store and the price.  But I just could not leave without buying anything, so I decide to get the BB Cream because my previous one has run out and its about time I get a new one.  Well, not really.  I haven't been using BB Cream for so long and the previous one I had was ages ago.

So if you are just starting to wear makeup and wanted to try something basic beginning with a BB Cream, this is the one. Lets put the Rimmel London BB Cream to the test and I will let you know what I think.  Before that, it only cost less than RM20. 

  

What is a BB Cream (Beauty Balm)?.

Lets proceed to see how the products and the swatch looks like. 

 

The shade is Light/Medium 

Beginning with fresh and clean bare face, I applied toner, lotion and brightening essence.  Proper skincare routine can make a difference to your skin condition. No thick make up is needed when your skin is already a good canvas. Too much make up can clogged up pores, makes your face more oily and worsen your acne. If you are having issues with your skin, please audit your skincare routine and work from there.  

How to Apply the BB Cream. 

The texture of the BB Cream is not thick and it is lightweight, take a few drops of the BB cream and make a dots on your face.  Using fingers or brush apply the cream all over the face.  I prefer to use my hand rather than brush when applying BB Cream.  The heat from your fingers will help the products to be absorbed to the skin.  Below is the half with and without the BB Cream for your comparison. 

Let me tell you, with and without the BB Cream you cant really see much of a difference in skin shade. It is exactly how I wanted.  The BB Cream does a good job in enhancing the skin to make it look better and fresh.  The light/ medium shade matches my original skin.  Now if you want something thicker with fuller coverage I recommend applying a full coverage foundation.

 What I have on the face is only the Rimmel London BB Cream, no blusher or other face products.  Am I liking it? YES. ABSOLUTELY. 

Checking again on my BB Cream at 6:00pm, around 70% of the BB creams were still there on my face. I was outdoor the whole time painting some doors. Imagine being out at noon and doing some work that makes you sweat, and at the end of the day you still has 70% of the products on your face.  To me, its already good enough. Heat and sweat does wears off the BB Cream and I bet it would have stayed longer if I was in an air conditioned room or being indoors.  

As a conclusion,  in my opinion the Rimmel BB Cream would works well for :

1.  Students who wanted to wear something light to class and to get ready fast. 

2. Working adults, but you might need to reapply after sometime.  Touch up is required because it does not offers full coverage. 

3.  Anyone with budget under RM25 to find a good BB Cream.  This is it!. 

Considering the price of the BB Cream I would say I am quite impressed with how well the product works.  Obviously it doesnt stays up to 24hours but with the price that I am paying it is worth the money I spend. I have been using this daily whenever I am going out if for few hours.  

Will I purchase again? Yes.

As you can see there are two different size of jade on each end.  The bigger part meant for larger part of the face like the forehaead, cheek and chin while the smaller one meant for smaller area like under eyes, chin and your upper lips.  Now you got the technical part right lets move on to directions on how to use the massage roller. 

• Roll your roller on the cheek in an upward motion for a few times.  This could help you cheek to be firm and glow.  
• Roll your roller on your forehead to diminish the frown line and allow your blood to circulate better in the area
• Roll your roller under your eyes to remove the puffiness, especially in the morning if you tend to have your face looks swollen and puffy. 
• Dont forget to roll the jade around your neck area in an upward motion.  Always remember to include your neck in your beauty routine.    

My verdict on the Jade Massage Roller

 I like how it helps to massage my skin especially if you put the jade roller in the fridge for a few minutes before rolling it to your skin.  It feels relaxing and does help with the puffiness.  Price wise it can range from $2 to $70 on the market. My suggestion is to check with the manufacturer or the seller that what you are purchasing is pure jed.  In my opinion imitation will not work very well.

A true shopaholics would be able to provide you answer to the question.  Starting off with the location, operating hours, shops and brands available, where to eat, what to buy, etc.  Operated since Nov 2016 Penang Outlet Mall Design Village is the first and only outlet mall in Penang and the biggest outlet mall in Malaysia.

 

Built on a 24-acre tropical garden the mall offers popular brands including home appliances at markdown prices.  Located less than 5 minutes from the North-South Expressway and Penang 2nd Bridge at Batu Kawan.  Few weeks after the opening I got the chance to check out the place and did some shopping by myself.

During my visit to Ipoh the other day, I actually got the chance to walk around Ipoh Town.  To be exact its somewhere around the Plan B restaurant which located at Lorong Panglima, Ipoh. It has been sometime since my last visit to Ipoh and I was impressed with how does the Ipoh Town look like now.  There are so many hipsters cafe around together with nice and cosy space for hangout.  Its so cool!.

What's great is they still keep and maintain the old and historic buildings built during the era of British Colonial.  Other than their historic buildings Ipoh also famous for their new attraction, knows a the "Art of Oldtown" by Ernest Zacharevic. There are 7 wall art murals drawn across several roads in Ipoh town.

Unfortunately,  this post is not going to feature the wall art murals.  I only manage to capture a bunch of photo for places that I walked through around Jalan Paglima around Plan B area.  Luck was not on my side because the phone ran out of battery and I did not bring my powerbank along.  Apologies for that.

Mikael Visited | Farm in The City, Seri Kembangan

In Mikael visited.. this time we are featuring Farm in the City.  Located at Seri Kembangan, Selangor it only took about 45 mins to reach the place for us living in Cyberjaya. I am not a big fan of travelling to places in Kuala Lumpur because of the traffic and having to be stuck in jam during peak hours with a toddler in the car can be a bit stressful.  Its a good choice of place to visit with kids because of the open zoo concept.  The animals are not all caged and even the chickens can roam around freely.

Pengalaman Menginap di Hotel Grand Bluewave, Johor Bahru | Merupakan hotel 4 bintang dan terletak di tengah bandar Johor Bahru, hotel ini menawarkan pengalaman penginapan yang menyenangkan dan tentu nya keselesaan yang di idamkan oleh setiap pengunjung. Paling seronok, kita boleh melihat jambatan antara Johor dan Singapura melalui tingkap hotel. 

Bilik yang diberikan kepada aku ketika itu ialah Executive suite. Terdapat 2 pilihan iaitu sea view dan city view malah ada diantaranya yang mempunyai balkoni. Bilik aku? Balkoni Non Hado cuma sea view aje. Pendapat aku ialah bilik yang sangat luas, susunan perabut yang kemas dan selesa. Siap ada lounger area dengan sofa, coffee table dengan TV. Dapur untuk masak-masak pon ada jugak. Kira complete package lah kalau ambil executive suite nih.

I have not writing or reviewing much lately my apologies. There are so many drafts I drafted like months ago, but there are still there. Not moving :( . Anyway, on one fine day I received a mail from Living Jungle asking for my interest whether I am interested to try out their products. My answer?. 

Well of course... I would love to!. I was not told specifically on what is the thing they are sending me and when it turns out to be a mask, I was more than happy. So here it goes for the review: 

Living Jungle | White Synergy Effect Mask 

Like any other facial mask available on the market this mask is a peel-off type. So basically, all you need to do is make sure that your face is clean before applying the mask (wash using warm water would do) then apply the mask all over the face. As you are applying the mask ensure that you avoid the eye area because the skin there is super thin and you dont want any wrinkles to visit you at least you are 30. Just leave it for at leat 10 -15 minutes until the mask completely dry and then you may peel the mask off your face. Do it slowly. Once done rinse your face with water.
